Payment methods & Timings


We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch, Delta and Solo through our secure online payment facility on this website.

Alternatively, you can speak to us in person and place your order by phone on 0113 234 1107 (10.00am - 5pm Monday to Saturday).

Should you prefer to pay by cheque, you can place your order by phone or post and send your payment to the above mentioned address.

Please remember to add the delivery charge in the total. If paying by cheque, please note that we cannot reserve the stock for you until we actually receive the payment  you may wish to consider this when ordering any special offer or end of line stock. Your order will then be dispatched once the cheque has cleared. In the majority of cases your goods will be dispatched within a few days of receipt of your order and due to this your card will be charged at the time of placing your order. In the case that the stock is not immediately available, your card will still be charged at the time of placing the order. This enables us to reserve the items you have requested from the next available delivery. Should this cause a problem for you, please feel free to contact us by email or phone (0113 234 1107) and we will be happy to discuss your specific requirements.

Delivery


The great thing about shopping at Yellow Sunrise is that most products are available from our warehouse for delivery as soon as possible, but allows within 7-14 days. With non available goods or any exception due to the nature of the goods, delivery could take up to 6 weeks in which instances we will contact you with more accurate timescales.If you need an item for a specific deadline please lets us know and we will try and meet your requirements. We only deliver to addresses within the UK.
 
Outside mainland UK: We are happy to ship items outside of mainland UK  please email us for a quote.

Delivery Charges

At Yellow Sunrise we believe that value for money is very important and price our products accordingly. We do not build a ‘Delivery Allowance' into the price that we offer to you. Hence we make an additional charge as a contribution towards the cost of delivery.
We offer delivery to any mainland UK address under the following tariff
Orders below £250 –  £ 4.95 
Orders above £250– free of charge

Smaller furniture items, textiles and accessories will be delivered either by our courier or Royal Mail (standard post), depending on the size and weight of the items.

Signature is needed on delivery. If you know you will not be available to receive your order, please feel free to nominate a different delivery address or details of a neighbour who will be happy to accept the delivery on your behalf. Please note that once the goods have been dispatched from our warehouse, we can only re-route courier deliveries to an alternative delivery address upon receipt of a £6.95 charge.

Standard Service:

Under our standard delivery service, large furniture items are delivered by pallet to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. This is not a two-man delivery service and for health & safety reasons, the driver:
  • can only move the pallet using the pump truck
  • cannot assist you in removing your furniture from the pallet
  • cannot assist you in manoeuvring the furniture into your home
  • will not able to remove the packaging from your property
    In the event you are unable to take the goods into your home yourself, please contact us so we can arrange for a two man service. This will incur a nominal charge.

    Important - Are you Sure You Have Measured Correctly?

    Particularly when ordering larger items (armoires etc.) it's very important that you carefully measure both the ultimate location of the item and ALSO whether you can get it to the location. Do you have tight corners on your staircase or narrow doorways? If you are in any doubt at this time, please be sure to check again and let us know if there is a problem. If we arrive to deliver your goods and find that we have access problems, we will give you a refund but we will deduct a £50 collection charge to take your order back.
    For furniture we'll give you a full refund if you change your mind before delivery. But if you've already received delivery of your items, we will deduct a £50 collection charge to come and collect them. Refunds will only be processed once the items have been collected. All returns must be made within 14 days. Your statutory rights are unaffected. Please remember it is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture will physically fit in your home  we urge you to check the dimensions of access ways when ordering larger items of furniture.

    Yellow Sunrise collects personal information from you through the use of the contact us, and registration forms and each time you e-mail us your details. We may use this personal information to Provide you with further information about the products and services we offer. Provide you with a more personalised service. Conduct market research Run competitions and promotions. We currently only keep "sensitive data", as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not sell rent or pass on any information to any third party of any kind. We have complete control of all personal information gathered and it is held in a secure location.

    Return

    We want you to share our passion for the products you've chosen. So if for any reason you are unhappy with them, please contact us within seven days of receiving your purchases, and provided they are returned in their original condition and packaging we will give you a full refund excluding the delivery charge  please see details below. For furniture we'll give you a full refund if you change your mind before delivery. But if you've already received delivery of your items, we will deduct a £50 collection charge to come and collect them. Refunds will only be processed once the items have been collected. All returns must be made within 14 days. Your statutory rights are unaffected. Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery if your order is damaged or there are any discrepancies.     We regret that postage & packaging are direct costs and cannot be refunded in all circumstances. If the return is required as a result of our error, we will be happily refund both the outbound & the return postage charges.     Furniture care & Advise

    Sheesham wood

    Sheesham wood (also known as Indian Rosewood) – a fast growing, hardwood grown under sustainable management in India. Being a hard wood, you can be safe in the knowledge that this functional furniture can deal with the stresses and strains of everyday use and still look fantastic! Many pieces are based on traditional designs, having been adapted to suit modern living by encompassing maximum storage and practical features. The simplicity and natural beauty of the furniture lends itself to easy accessorising to offer a variety of looks within each room of your home. We've shown products in specific rooms, but please bear in mind that every piece is versatile and can be adapted to any area of your home - a blanket box that's useful at the end of your bed can also make a fantastic coffee table! Care for Indian Rosewood(Sheesham wood) furniture

  • Wax occasionally  we recommend Myland's tinted wax which will help develop the colour as well as protect your furniture.
  • As with any solid wood item, positioning in direct sunlight or near a heat source can cause movement or cracking of the wood.
  • The furniture is not sealed, so ensure you protect surfaces from hot or wet items which will cause ring marks.
  • Should you get any ring marks, these can however be polished out using Myland's tinted wax and some fine wire wool (grade 000 All dimensions are shown in width, depth, height order in centimetres and due to the handmade nature of our products all measurements are approximate.
    Please remember it is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture will physically fit in your home  we urge you to check the dimensions of access ways when ordering larger items of furniture.

    Chinese Furniture (Rose wood or Elm wood)

    Along with the unique character of purchasing and Chinese lacquered furniture comes additional responsibility in it's care. All our Chinese range have been restored using traditional methods of the late 19th century, so the wood used has been air dried as apposed to the air and kiln dried furniture of today. This means you will need to adhere to the following guidelines a little more closely to ensure your piece remains as beautiful as when purchased. Whrere possible avoid placing your piece(s) too close to radiators, fireplaces or in direct sunlight. Any direct exposure to sustained heat may cause damage or cracking daily; Simply wipe clean without the need for polish. Periodically; every month or two polish with Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish (Jacobean or a similar dark wood colour) Be sparing and take care to fill any minor cracks or scratches. Try and use coasters or placemats where possible, as the constant application of water will eventually result in damage to the finish

    Mango Wood

    Our range of Mango Wood bowls, plates and vases is manufactured by hand from the wood of the Mango tree. The Mango is a very fast-growing tree, found throughout Thailand, and is constantly being re-planted to provide fruit and wood. A single block of wood is carefully hand-lathed or carved into a variety of beautiful shapes. Each piece is then polished with several layers of clear wax, to produce a burnished, almost cherry wood-like finish. Alternatively, a final coat of hardwearing matt black paint may be added, to give a very contemporary, minimal finish. The finished items can be left plain, or hand carved to reveal the lighter raw mango wood beneath. When cleaning, only use a mild detergent and warm water, do not soak for long periods of time, and dry with a soft cloth immediately. Never use abrasive cleaners or scourers, and definitely do not put in the dishwasher!

  • Due to the use of natural dyes, colours may vary & some dye transfer can occur – please consider this when placing dark fabrics on pale carpets or sofas.
